Taylor is amazing! She is extremely friendly, professional, and cares about customer satisfaction. She gives you exactly what you want. The food here is wicked awesome. I got an XL pizza with extra cheese and extra sauce. The atmosphere is comfortable and had a home feeling. I give Papa Ginos on Lexington St in Waltham Mass more than 5 stars!!!
Papa Gino's pizza tastes the same as it did when I was a kid. Love it!
The inside of the restaurant also looks exactly the same as it did when I was a kid, but it also looks like it hasn't been deep cleaned since I was a kids (since E.T. was on the big screen!). I would not plan to eat inside of this branch.
I ordered early in the day with a specific pick up time and mine was ready. However, there were lots of delayed folks or folks with the wrong order around me in line. The staff at this particular branch were slow and seemed apathetic. The shift supervisor did her best to rally her team, but no one responded. In fact, they didn't even acknowledge that she was speaking. It was painful to watch.
Given my experience, I would order from them again, making sure that I order ordered early in the day with a specific pickup time, and with a plan to go home to eat while watching a good movie.
I'm from NJ and I love pizza. I was impressed with the pizza here. Just the right amount of sauce and cheese! Crust was cooked to perfection. The staff were great! The GM was hilarious and kept us engaged. Would love to see a restaurant like this open in Phoenix Arizona.
Drew’s the best. We came in right before closing and he was helpful & patient with us. Highly recommend Waltham Papa Gino’s 🍕
If you want to waste time, you go to this, Papa Gino’s. I placed my order at 5:45. The person over at the cashier told me 15 minutes that was gonna be the fastest food ever made in 15 minutes. 15 minutes goes by and then 45 minutes go by and then I get my food handed to me I get home and I’m looking at this steak and cheese. The barely looks like a steak and cheese and breadsticks that barely look like breadsticks.
The two people who work here are trying their best. They are responsive to customers and busy. The food is fine for what it is, fast food. The primary challenge this location faces is chronic understaffing. They cannot support the customer demand with two people in front, at least for weekend lunch. If you assume that your pickup/wait time is materially longer than the time your online order posts as estimate, then you will be fine.
I'm still having trouble figuring out the online coupon thing, Taylor was extremely helpful getting that done, Drew was very personable, both pleasant, efficient and highly articulate, top shelf customer service representatives in time and demeanor, A pleasure to deal with, unlike most places, I'm a boss and I know good and bad employees, These two a top shelf, polished customer service representatives. I wish everyone I had to deal with was like these two. I'm 58 and I first had Papa Gino's pizza when I was like 10 so 40 years, This place makes the best.
Who knew Papa Gino’s made great burgers? But yeah, the burgers here has no reason to be as good as they are. Randomly stopped in a while back, and just out of curiosity, ordered a mushroom cheddar burger with fries and was surprised at how good it was. The flavor was on point, a little on the greasy side but very solid. Fries were hot and crunchy on the outside and soft and steamy on the inside, also solid. Both were freshly made to order so waited about 10-15 min for my order. So my advice is skip the pizza if your bored and order a burger.
